How to gain attention(The Psychology Of Attention)

1.Halo Effect:

The halo effect is a well-documented psychological bias where one's overall positive impression of an individual influences judgments about specific traits or characteristics. It’s time to acknowledge the hard fact about reality and that is that pretty privilege plays a crucial role in how we are treated and the opportunities that are presented to us. The concept of "pretty privilege" refers to the advantages and preferential treatment that individuals perceived as attractive may experience in various aspects of life. Here are some real-world examples, statistics, and studies that illustrate the impact of attractiveness on success:

A. Career Advancement:

  • Higher Salaries: Studies have shown that attractive individuals tend to earn higher salaries than their less attractive counterparts. One study published in the "Journal of Applied Psychology" found that attractive individuals earn, on average, 20% more than those considered less attractive.

  • Job Opportunities: Attractive job applicants are more likely to be hired and considered for promotions. Employers often perceive attractive individuals as more competent and confident.

  • Social Interactions:

    • More Social Invitations: Attractive people may receive more social invitations, leading to larger networks and potentially more opportunities.

    • Positive First Impressions: People tend to form more positive first impressions of attractive individuals, which can facilitate smoother interactions and relationships.

Attractive patients might rate their healthcare experiences more positively, potentially due to the halo effect. Patient satisfaction scores can impact healthcare providers' reputations and even financial incentives in some healthcare systems. While there may not be direct studies examining healthcare disparities solely based on attractiveness, research in the fields of psychology and healthcare disparities suggests that unconscious biases and the halo effect can influence healthcare interactions and patient experiences.

It's true that healthcare providers are trained to provide equitable care to all patients, regardless of their appearance. Efforts are made within the healthcare industry to address implicit biases and promote fair treatment for all patients. Additionally, the impact of attractiveness on healthcare experiences can vary widely, and individual experiences may differ.

    B. Sociability:

  • Pygmalion Effect: Department of Psychology Comilla Shahani-denning believes the bias is in favor of physically attractive people, with attractive people being perceived as more sociable, happier and more successful. Could it be that perhaps that perception alone creates a self-fulfilling prophecy? The Pygmalion effect seems to think so. The Pygmalion effect is the phenomenon whereby higher expectations lead to higher performance.

Since attractive people are seen as more sociable, they are more likely to be approached and since they are more likely to be approached, this gives them more opportunity to work on their social skills therefore increasing their sociability. Unfortunately, unattractive people are seen as less sociable and not likely to be approached which results in losing the ability to be social. This can be extrapolated into many other venues of life such as in sports, content creation, education, and business. There may be some real truth as to why we judge books by their covers, it's an evolutionary skill that’s helped for survivability from poisonous or dangerous insects and animals.

    2.Be Like The Sun:

  • Size: The sun, without saying a word and without no hit songs or personality is able to have an entire religion centered around it! So then, what are the qualities that make the sun so attractive?

Well firstly, it is huge. Sitting at 864,000 miles (1,392,000 km) in diameter the sun is 109 times wider than Earth! That's around 1.3 million earths that can fill that size. Something that size you simply cannot miss. Now according to an article by girlpowerstrong, they scoured over 1000 romance novels for women and found out that 95% of women's ideal height for a man is over 6 feet tall! This preference in height doesn't apply just to men! Women who apply into modeling, runway modeling, and high-class modeling have always been preferred to be tall, 5.8 height and above to be exact. Gigi Hadid (5ft 11 in), Bella Hadid (5ft 9 in) Cara Jocelyn Delevingne (5 ft 8 in) Hoyeon Jung - Squid game actress(5 ft 9 in). Height has always been synonymous with stature. A taller stature offers a commanding presence.

The simple concept is, height equates to attraction. We all accidentally may step on an ant every now and again and it's because they simply don't catch our attention to prevent such happenings. A 7-foot person entering a room designed to house 5'10 persons is sure to catch everyone's attention accidentally. That's not to say you should become fat or get leg surgery but instead…. to increase your dimensions...

    The Psychology Of Attraction Ebook

This is a small section of what is a 4 chapter 268-page book. This is a strange concept to properly get your head around, but the premise is that attraction is very much mental as it is physical. That’s not saying to try and communicate telepathically in order to get your crush to like you back. The message is, that there are some ways to make your crush accidentally become attracted to you though it may not be through physical preference. It’s important to not max out one of these lessons but to incorporate all of these lessons into your daily life to maximize results; whether that be in your dating life, content creation, or even in your business. The entirety of this book will cover facial attractiveness in minute detail, however facial attractiveness preference is always evolving and changing. This section seeks to tap into the things that don’t change, covering the psychology of why we are attracted to things rather than people themselves. Things being something we can attach to people as well and is something we often do without much deeper understanding of why.
